I woke up on Thursday September 18th to the most incredible mix of anticipation and disbelief. It was actually here. This was the day that an incredible team of Queen's students had relentlessly planned and worked towards for the better part of 2 years. It was the beginning of the Canadian Federation of Medical Students Annual General Meeting 2014 - and we were the hosts! Saurabh Gupta is quite the inspiration. We received multiple nominations for him from students in Windsor. As a fourth year student at Schulich School of Medicine at the Windsor campus, Saurabh has remained quite involved in both hospitals and the school throughout his clerkship year.
Although he doesn't like to talk about it much, Linden, a second year medical student at the University of Ottawa, is tirelessly committed to improving the society in which he operates; always questioning the status quo and looking for opportunities for change and growth.
This month's Ontario Medical Student highlight, Ryhana Dawood from Schulich's 2016 class, was brought to our attention as someone with immense level of involvement and compassion.
