The Ontario Medical Student Association recognizes that financial literacy is an important skill for future physicians to learn and understands that there is limited curricular opportunity for medical students to gain these skills. To help reconcile this, we have partnered with TD to offer 3 one-hour workshops to cover the basics of understanding debt management and planning for your future.
The three sessions will be as follows:
1. Tuesday, February 28 from 5:00-6:00 PM: Understanding Your Med School Loans and Repayment + Intro to Money Management (Budgeting, Credit, Savings)
2. Tuesday, March 21 from 5:00-6:00 PM: Intro to Financial Planning – What you need to know as you transition into residency and practice
3. Tuesday, March 28 from 5:00-6:00 PM: How to make my money work as a DIY investor
At each event, there will be two $125 Amazon Gift Cards up for grabs as an added incentive to come and learn!
