2025 Med Retreat: The Wellness Expedition

This year’s theme is The Wellness Expedition - get ready to embark on a weekend filled with relaxation, movement, & fun activities. Due to the incredible demand for Med Retreat tickets this year, we are opening up a waitlist for students who were unable to secure a ticket. If spots become available, students will be randomly selected from the waitlist to attend.

Medical Student Education Research Grants (MSERG)​ Round 2

The Medical Student Education Research Grant (MSERG) Awards are a unique opportunity for medical students across Ontario to be funded for their research dedicated to medical education. MSERG provides grants of $5,000 to ON medical students annually, with sponsorship from TD Bank, AMS Healthcare and OMA Insurance. Through the generous support of our sponsors, we hope to support groundbreaking medical education research that transforms the landscape of our future healthcare and medical communities.

Do you find that there is no space for artistic expression in medical school? Well, look no further! Whether you’re the next van Gogh, Beethoven or Nijinksy, or even if you just enjoy art as a hobby, the Art of Medicine Award serves to recognize impactful art pieces created by you and your fellow medical peers based on a yearly theme. We accept any sort of art form, from singing to dancing to visual art to poems to beyond – it is up to whatever you like! Each award is valued at $250. Two winners will be chosen per year.

Conference Grants (Spring/Summer) Deadline

The Ontario Medical Student Association offers funding for select Ontario medical students presenting at medical conferences. Eligible conference topics should address an issue in the realm of healthcare and/or medical education thereby contributing to the advancement of medicine. The research may be basic, clinical, epidemiological, or social science related to medicine. Only researchers presenting at conferences are eligible. Please see the eligibility periods and their respective deadlines below. Funding of eligible expenses up to $250 will be provided to 16 students per round.
