EvidenceNetwork.ca creates original media content on public policy topics for publication in the mainstream media and links journalists with policy experts to provide access to non-partisan, evidence-based information. OMSA and EvidenceNetwork.ca are collaborating to give medical students an opportunity to contribute opinion pieces and be recognized as a “Student Expert” on EvidenceNetwork.ca.

Officially founded in May 1974 during the Ontario Medical Association’s AGM, the Student Section of the OMA was started using the acronym “OMSA” (short for Ontario Medical Students Association) in 2004.
