Do you love the outdoors? Want to test your endurance and emergency medicine skills?

Consider competing in MedWAR North on Saturday, January 19th, 2013.

This event combines first aid with the increasingly popular sport of adventure racing. Teams of three work together to navigate winter terrain on ski and snowshoe and to solve wilderness medicine first aid and survival scenarios. Past races have involved treating everything from climbing or skiing accidents to stove burns and barotrauma.

Previous races have attracted a diverse group of participants including emergency first response teams, medical students, paramedics, emergency medicine residents, and members of the Canadian Military.
