Pre-clerkship
All pre-clerkship in-person classes are cancelled until further
notice. All schools have moved towards an online format for
classes.
Electives
All visiting electives are cancelled until at least
mid-September. Students with confirmed visiting electives will be
contacted by the host school. For more information, please visit:

Clerkship
Currently, all clerks in Ontario have been pulled from their
rotations. Although some dates have been proposed, it is
uncertain when the return to clerkship will
occur.
MCCQE I Exam
The Federation of Medical Regulatory Authorities of Canada
(FMRAC) have indicated that final year medical studies who do not
complete the MCCQE I exam before July 1, 2020 can still obtain an
educational license to start residency.
2021 R1 Match
The CFMS is currently in discussions to determine how the
COVID-19 pandemic will affect the match. There is discussion to
adjust the match timelines to accommodate time away from
clerkship. Dates have not been finalized and an update is planned
