Reimagining Medical Education: OMSA EDID Conference

The Reimagining Medical Education Conference serves as a platform for fostering meaningful discussions on equity, diversity, inclusion, and decolonization (EDID) within medical education. This assembly brings together medical students, faculty members, EDID leaders, and advocates in a shared commitment to advancing advocacy and social justice. The primary objective of the conference is to create a dynamic and inclusive platform that encourages dialogue and collaboration between students and faculty, nurturing a collective effort to address challenges centered around EDID within medical education.

This year the conference will be held in a hybrid format on Saturday April 20th 2024, from 11am - 4 pm EST. Keynote, workshops, and learner showcase presentations will take place in-person at the Rosti Group in Toronto. Oral presentations can also be recorded and published online. In-person spots are limited, they will be on a first-come first-serve basis. Trainees from all health professions programs and institutions are welcome to participate!

Learner showcase submissions will open on Monday February 12th 2024 and close Friday March 8th 2024 at 11:59 PM (EST). General registration will open Monday February 26th 2024. All student presenters must also register to attend.
